Rio de Janeiro Airport Terminal 1

Rio de Janeiro Airport Terminal 1 has a half circle shape and operates both domestic and international services.

Levels

GIG Airport Terminal 1 facilities are split into four levels:

Ground level

Arrivals level.

This level has entrance and exit doors A to H and three baggage claim areas.

Doors C and D lead to International Arrivals.

Services: Post office, ATMs, car rental counters, duty free stores.

First level

Departures level.

The First level has Immigration facilities, airlines check-in facilities, duty free area and self-service kiosks.

International Departures are accessible through doors B and C, whilst Domestic Departures through doors C to E and check-in facilities through doors C, D and E.

This level is connected to Terminal 2 past check-in facilities.

Find boarding area with gates B35-B43 and B34-B25.

Second level

This level is purely dedicated to concessions. Find here food, drink and retail services as well as banking and resting facilities: Sleeping pods, First Aid, Chapel, Banking facilities, ATMs, among others.

Third level

Third level has several facilities regarding banking, health and beauty. Find also Rio Airport Hotel and Aerotel.

GIG Airport Terminal 1 offers to its passengers sleeping services such as:

Aerotel

Find it in the International Area, airside, third level, in the South Pier. Services: Wi-Fi, Showers, TV, wake-up call service.

Fares start at R$180 (3 hours) and R$380 (6 hours).

Rio Airport Hotel

This hotel is located on the third level. Find day rooms available from 08:00 to 20:00 (3 hour stays).

There also sleeping pods in the east end of the second level.
