BRT (Bus Rapid Transport) stands for a convenient and fast option to move between GIG Airport and Rio de Janeiro. 

Routes

There are a couple of BRT lines to reach Rio de Janeiro Airport (GIG):

TransCarioca Express

TransCarioca Express is a semi-direct line from Terminal Alvorada to GIG Airport, stopping at Fundão Terminal, Vicente de Carvalho Station (connection with Rio de Janeiro Subway Line 2) and Madureira Station.

TransCarioca

TransCarioca line has stops through 47 stations and 5 terminals (connection with Rio de Janeiro Subway Line 2 and 4).

Connection with Subway

Passengers can connect to GIG Airport by taking BRT to Vicente de Carvalho Station (Subway Line 2). 

On the other hand, passengers can also reach GIG Airport by taking BRT at Jardim Oceânico Station (Subway Line 4).

Subway hours: Mon-Sat: 05:00 to 00:00, Sun and public holidays: 07:00 to 23:00.
